Over a period of several weeks, a range of activities were organised for children at the “Maison relais”. Among the partner clubs, Cercle Athlétique Dudelange stood out for its commitment and energy on the ground, in partnership with the Maison Relais Brill.

Through fun and accessible workshops, led by our coach Isabelle Bourscheid, the club enabled the children to try their hand at athletics whilst developing their motor skills, coordination and self-confidence. Its commitment played a key role in the project’s success.

Alongside other local clubs, the Cercle Athlétique Dudelange helped to instil in the children a love of sport and a desire to stay active.

The following honorary guests were present: Loris Spina as Lay Assessor for Sport, Marc Meyer, Michèle Kayser-Wengler, Semiray Ahmedova and Yves Steffen from the municipal council, Zeynaba Weber from the municipal council of Zoufftgen, Walter Berettini for the tourist office, Fabio Secci for the FLA and Anouck Ewerling for the CAB.

President Josée Lorsché welcomed the guests and opened the meeting. The president expressed her sincere thanks to all the committee members, coaches, athletes and volunteers for their excellent work over the past season. More critical words were uttered about the indoor hall construction project. Various activity and financial reports were presented by Marie-France Saeul, Claude Schaeffer, Tom Michels and Olivier Boussong. The new statutes were adopted in their version from 18 January, with no opposition from the members present.

Many athletes were honoured during a lively ceremony for their good performances or participation. Special prizes were awarded to Liz Weiler and Noemie Pleimling for their silver medals in San Marino, and Liz was also named Member of the Year.

The General Assembly ended with the traditional and famous spaghetti ‘from Gaby and her team’, this time even with an (excellent) veggie sauce.

Dudelange, March 4th, 2026

We regret to inform you that the CAD committee decided last night that it is preferable to cancel the Tour de Dudelange, which was scheduled for 22 March 2026.

The committee has determined that the situation regarding the current construction works at the Kennedy Stadium, the start and finish point of the Tour de Dudelange, is more complex than expected and desired. To ensure the quality of the event that the CAD wants to offer the runners, and in light of the risks posed by the degraded conditions due to the works, the best option was to cancel the race.

The CAD committee will also re-evaluate the situation for the coming years, as the construction site will be ongoing for a couple of years.

The runners who have already registered will be contacted individually.

The CAD apologises for any inconvenience caused.
