Great performances in the combined events and a selection for Malta

This weekend, especially our youth was able to stand out. During the combined events championships in Diekirch, Carla Bellucci and Melvin Spoden proved their worth in their 7, respectively 10 disciplines and brought the title back to Dudelange.

Olivier Boussong and Nadine Kremer travelled a little further and took part in the Grand Est Championships in Tomblaine this weekend. Olivier ran his 200m in 22.71 seconds and Nadine threw her discus at 34m45.

The one who travelled the most was our hammer thrower Isabeau Pleimling, who flew to Malta this weekend with the Luxembourgish selection for the Small States
Championships. She threw the hammer at 48m49 and was outdistanced in the very last throw of the event to finish in a good 4th place in a very tough throwing competition.
