The indoor season has begun !

December is traditionally the start of the indoor season with the first regio meets. Here is a brief overview of our athletes who placed in the top 10.

Regio Meeting 1 (12/17-22).
21 CAD athletes from all age groups did not miss the first opportunity to present themselves on the track.
This start was particularly successful in the high jump for Jon Bourscheid (U20, 1m85), Luca Costantini (U18, 1m80) and Eve Lambert (U16, 1m46) and for Elodie Bissen (U16, 3m97) in the long jump. Thierry Kalmes (U16) got off to a double good start with 1m50 in the high jump and 4m43 in the long jump.
Krecké Mex (U16) also turned several laps of the track in 20.78 seconds in the 150m and 3:16.28 minutes in the 1000m. Matteo Bellucci competed in the 300m and crossed the finish line in 35.8 seconds.

Regio Meeting 2 (23.12.2022)
A week later, 20 of our athletes found their way to the Coque. Eve Lambert confirmed her 1m46 in the high jump from the previous week. Lena Do Carmo (U18) jumped one bar higher (1m50). Mex Krecké this time proved himself over the hurdles, crossing the finish line in 10.73, then running another 600m race in 1:44.55. Olivier Boussong ran the 60m flat in 7.27 seconds, Luca Costantini in 7.73 and Jean-Claude Wallenborn (Masters) in 10.13.
The Regio Meeting 2 was the first competition for our shot putters and several youth athletes competed : Louis Bellini (U16, 7m68), Lena Koch (U16, 7m78), Lény Villain (U16, 6m07). For Claire Hagen (8m34) it was the first competition ever and she immediately exceeded the 8m mark. For Marc Meyer it was the return to the throwing circle after a break of several years and he succeeded with 11.57m.

The CAD is looking forward to this indoor season with the championship on January 19 as a highlight and wishes everyone a happy and successful year 2023
