About the club
Besides organizing numerous track and field meetings, the CAD is also the organizer of the traditional Tour de Dudelange and the Haard Trail. Venues of the club are the John F. Kennedy stadium in Dudelange, and the throwing field in Zoufftgen, France.
Today we have 300 active athletes and about 500 members. The club also has a small triathlon section.
During the 77th Coupe du Prince, the CAB teams could again win the cup by totalling 16.165 points. The podium was completed with the teams from CSL (15.714 pts) and Celtic (15.522 pts). The CAD team finished at the 5th rank with 14.189 points.
Under perfect weather conditions, the CAD ladies team could win the Coupe des Dames for the 4th time in a row! Many spectators and great atmosphere on the Kennedy stadium.
Together with Lionel Evora Delgado, Pol Bidaine and François Grailet, our athlete (and committee member) Olivier Boussong set a new National Record in the 4x100m relay, during the European Athletics Team Championships in Varazdin (CRO). Finishing in 41″28, they improved the old record from 1979, set by another CAD-athlete, Roland Bombardella. Congratulations!
New javelin throw National Record by Noémie Pleimling during this weekend’s National Championships, which took place in Schifflange. She improved her one week old record by another incredible 56cm, and now brings the record to 54.25m! At the Youth competition of the Echternach Triathlon, our young triathlete Pol Stoffel (on the left-hand side on the picture) takes the 2nd place in his age group (Youth C).
And yet another new National Record in javelin throw set by Noémie Pleimling who further improved her own record by another amazing 42cm on Saturday during a competition in Bertrix, Belgium. Her new best is now 53.69m!
Our athlete Konstantin Moll set a new club record in the hammer throw event by realizing 70.02m at the occasion of the Junioren-Gala in Mannheim, Germany! By doing so, he also realized the qualification minimum for the U20 European Championships in Sweden. Great!
