You can apply for either a leisure license (licence loisir) or a competition license.
With the competition license you can participate in the various National Championships (road, cross country, track and indoor). You must pass a sports medicine examination (Médico sportif). You can choose the best appointment by yourself.
With the leisure license you do not need to take a sports medical examination and you can only participate in road races. A leisure license can be changed on simple request into a competition license, and under the condition of having passed a sports medical examination. The change from a competition license to a leisure license is only possible during the transfer period, from 16 to 31 October.
In both cases you are insured through the Luxembourg Athletics Federation (FLA, Fédération Luxembourgeoise d’Athlétisme), respectively by the FLTri (Luxembourgish Triathlon Federation).
Please complete this request form, and bring it to one of the training sessions together with a copy of an identity card, and an ID photograph of you. Here you can hand out the form, but most of all, have a discussion with one of our coaches.
In parallel, we advise you to request already a visit date at the medicine examination, in case you want to have a competition license.
We remind you that the annual membership fee is mandatory to validate the registration as an athlete. The membership fee entitles you to a license, insurance and a mandatory bib for competitions.
